Wings of Migizi

The wings of Migizi swooping down from the eastern sky flying over Gichi-gami, the Great Lake. Hand-hammered, 14K white gold choker necklace with two 14K yellow gold stylized eagle feathers attached to the ends (not visible in te photo) and, at its bottom. mounted with an asymmetrically, hand-cut turquoise stone set in 18K yellow gold.

Gimoshoomisinaan Ogimaa Migizi, the Great Eagle Grandfather of the Eastern Direction, looks after the People. Each morning at sunrise Migizi insures the Great Mystery that the Anishinaabeg still honor his path with offerings of asemaa (tobacco) and by addressing the spirit of the water by singing nibi waabo, the water song.
